KVF PREPARING TO DELIVER COVID SECURE FIRST AID TRAINING FOR CUSTOMERS IN THE MOTOR INDUSTRY

The motor industry hasn’t had the same amount of restrictions placed upon their businesses as other industry sectors.

Many repairers have continued to operate and support key workers and essential services, service departments and motor vehicle repair workshops have continued to provide services and car showrooms were among the first retail businesses to allow to open. As a result, the motor industry has probably had more employees return to work from furlough than many other sectors.

KVF has been actively supporting our customers throughout. We have carefully managed the services we have provided, offering e-learning and COVID-19 risk assessments, policies and method statements, in addition to updating and improving Canopy Safety, our very own online safety management application, we have included a section on COVID-19 to monitor how safely our customers are managing the risks of the pandemic within their businesses.

Our in house First Aid Accredited Instructor and Senior Safety Advisor has been working closely with our accredited training provider to guide us on how we can provide safe, socially distanced, COVID secure face to face first aid training.

The HSE has relaxed the rules regarding first aid training by permitting extensions to expired certificates and as of September 2020 KVF will be holding COVID Secure first aid training, with the initial session booked in Salisbury.

We will reduce class numbers to allow social distancing and prior to providing training at a customer’s locations, we will ask them to complete a training venue risk assessment to ensure we can deliver the training safely and reduce the risk of infection.

We will be getting in touch with customers who had previously booked and had to cancel first aid training as a result of the lockdown, all existing KVF customers will be given priority.

Any customers who opted to have delegates trained using our Intuity Training e-learning platform will have the cost of the online course deducted from that delegate attending the face to face training.

Please get in touch if you require any information on booking courses.
