KVF has always wanted to be somewhere business owners, operators and managers can look when they have a problem.
I started the business as a sole trader, providing H&S audits to motor trade businesses in 2012. From completing onsite audits, I noticed there were questions that I asked and wanted to be able to provide solutions to. So in addition to providing auditing and expert advice, I completed a train the trainer course so I could deliver fire marshal and other safety related training courses, such as manual handling and H&S awareness training.
As the business grew and I began to employ people to help me expand, we invested in training the team to provide accredited first aid training and in 2017 we launched Intuity Training, our online, e-learning software with over 50 courses, in multiple languages, which proved to be an affordable and more productive way to improve staff awareness for our customers. Intuity Training has really helped our customers during lockdown to ensure people working from home or furloughed can return to work, having completed valuable training when it might not have been possible to physically go to work.
Another company who wants to help the motor industry to enable leaders to ensure their staff are fully complaint and trained is, LKQ Euro Car Parts. We reached out to Head of Training, Simon Lee and discussed how we work together to provide specialist first aid, fire marshal and a range of other safety related courses.
The pandemic has affected every industry sector in different ways and many motor industry businesses have operated throughout the past 12 months albeit, with skeleton staff, adapting to new ways of working and under huge pressure.
Although the HSE has extended first aid course qualifications, when we return to working we need to ensure we keep everyone as safe as possible. Working with LKQ Euro Car Parts, KVF want to help the motor trade get everyone trained and compliant to enable them to get back to what they do best; whether that’s selling, mechanically servicing, or repairing accident damage.
It’s a huge honour to work with LKQ Euro Car Parts, a company as passionate as we are in helping and supporting the motor industry. We urge any businesses interested in learning more about the courses we will jointly provide to get in touch with Simon Lee.
We look forward to working together to help as many people as we can to learn new skills and work safely. Working together to make a difference.
Lee Kennedy – Managing Director at KVF.
